How It Works

When you book a portrait or head shot session with The Portrait Professional, you will be guided through the type of session you require. If it's a portrait session we will discuss with you whether you are looking for a simple elegant portrait or whether you are looking for something more elaborate that will make for an eye catching editorial style shoot.

If it is a head shot session you are after then we will provide you with anywhere between 200-300 images taken over a period of approximately two hours and featuring as many outfit changes as you can fit in the time. At The Portrait Professional we want you to feel comfortable and confident during your session, so being a bespoke service we won't be rushing you out the door like a high street studio. We want you to leave a session with us confident that you have the best head shot you have ever had taken and that you have had a relaxed and enjoyable experience that you are looking forward repeating, rather than one that feels like a trip to the dentist!

We know exactly how some people feel about having their photograph taken and in our experience it's all about taking the time to allow people to feel confident that they look good in the photographs and that they feel guided and supported in how to pose for the camera and that the photographer knows exactly how to bring out the best version of themselves possible. We will show you the images on a screen as the session progresses so you feel confident and relaxed that you are looking your best.

Once your session is finished we will send you a selection of your best images via a secure server for you to choose your favourites. We will then retouch and send you back up to four finished images if it's a head shot session, or more if it's a more stylised portrait session.
